Project Overview

Drake WorkWise needed to develop a platform to provide confidential Employee Assistance Programs and organisational wellness programs to a large number of organisations in Australia and New Zealand. The main goal was to provide a greater emphasis on easily providing services including individual counseling services, crisis management, manager support, financial counseling,  critical incident management, workplace conflict, bullying, psychological risk and safety through the app.

Both teams from Drake WorkWise and EB Pearls studied research data that was collected from different types of users. Upon analysing data from interviews and surveys we came to a realisation that there was a need for developing an app to support wellbeing in the workplace. With the app, Drake WorkWise can offer a tailored and customised service through employer funded counselling and manager assistance services, delivering a measurable ‘return on investment’ through the reduction of absenteeism and work-related stress.

To get a better understanding of the project, we went through various different stages with the clients. We spent over three weeks going over the user flow diagram, trying to map out how the entire project should work while making numerous adjustments. First and foremost, the app’s goals were understood. The target audience, app development language and framework, platform, is there a similar app on the market, overall budget, how to sell and promote the app, and other factors were all considered.

User Experience

The project was based on the user story to obtain a better knowledge of the end-users.  This ensured that the application was consistent in terms of what users wanted and why they wanted it. The customer’s user stories were elevated to the top of the priority list.

Website Key Features

  • Easy navigation

Users can easily select the required buttons. There is 24 hours a day, seven days a week access to an appointment form, where requests to book, change or cancel an appointment can be made.

  • Intuitive user experience:

Easy click links to Crisis Contact support organisation phone numbers. Organisations include Lifeline, Beyond Blue, Police and Emergency Services and the Suicide Prevention Callback service as well as links to external mental health resources/organisations.

EB Pearls completed the project effectively and met the objectives set forth by Drake WorkWise’s stakeholders. With the help of our talented designers, we were able to create a digital brand presence that continues to meet business objectives and expand its user base.
