From idea to product.
Built to last, not just launch.

SaaS founders don't need an agency that says yes to everything and figures it out later. They need a team that's shipped products before, understands what kills startups after launch, and builds with the next twelve months in mind — not just the next sprint. EB Pearls has built SaaS platforms from zero to production across health tech, marketplace, education, and vertical software — for founders at every stage.

  • 20+ Years building products
  • 900+ Platforms delivered
  • ISO 27001 Certified
  • Full IP ownership on delivery

Where Are You
We build for founders
at every stage of the journey.

Not every SaaS project starts the same way. Some founders come with a napkin sketch. Others have an MVP in market and need to rebuild it properly. Others are scaling fast and need features their current architecture can't support. We've worked across all three.

Validating the idea

You have a product hypothesis and need to test it without spending six months and $300K finding out it doesn't work. We help founders build the right thing first — through Discovery and rapid prototyping that separates the assumptions that matter from the ones that don't.

Building v1

You know what you're building and you need it built properly the first time — with architecture that supports where you're going, not just where you are. The technical decisions made in v1 either enable or constrain everything that follows.

Scaling the product

You're in market, you have users, and you need to move fast — new features, performance at scale, AI capabilities, or rebuilding components of a platform that was built too quickly the first time. Speed matters but so does not breaking what's working.

What SaaS founders actually worry aboutwhen choosing a build partner

We hear these concerns from almost every founder who reaches us. Most of them have been burned before — by agencies that promised a lot, delivered the literal brief, and left them with a product that couldn't scale.

icons-mortgage

"I'm worried we'll build the wrong thing — and only find out after we've spent the budget."

If this sounds familiar, many founders share it after past agencies overpromised, delivered minimal scope, and left unscalable products.
Fixed-price discovery clarifies assumptions, users, and gaps, delivering owner-controlled scope and product strategy.

"The last agency built it in a way we can't extend. We're rewriting half the codebase six months in."

Technical debt from early architecture often stalls SaaS growth, turning scalable features into slow, costly, and complex engineering challenges.
Architecture is prioritised from the start, designed for scale, with 900+ platforms built for real user growth.

"We're in a regulated space — health, finance, or legal. Most agencies don't understand what that means."

Regulated environments require architecture-first thinking—data, consent, audit, and security constraints must shape design, not be added after development.
Fresh Clinics integrated facial recognition, consent, video consults, and secure data handling within core ISO 27001 architecture.

"I need a team that acts like a co-founder, not a contractor who just builds what's in the ticket."

Execution-focused agencies follow briefs; product-thinking teams challenge assumptions, adapt to change, and address root problems, not just requested features.

Dedicated Engineering Manager, Business Analyst, and Account Manager ensure consistent expertise from discovery through delivery.

"We need to move fast. Our window won't stay open forever."

Speed matters in product development, but structured upfront decisions prevent technical debt and rework, enabling faster, scalable long-term delivery.

Two-week sprints, full Jira visibility, fixed-price discovery, and MVP delivery within months with scalable architecture.

"Everyone's saying we need AI. But I don't know if we actually do, or where it would genuinely help."

AI in SaaS is only valuable when solving real user problems; unnecessary AI features add complexity without meaningful user benefit.

AI is implemented only when valuable, such as facial recognition in Fresh Clinics; otherwise simpler solutions are preferred.

Why This Is Different
SaaS builds fail for predictable reasons.

Most SaaS failures stem from treating builds as projects, leading to shallow discovery, wrong assumptions, and unscalable architecture choices.

Product thinking isn't a service we add — it's how we work. That means challenging features that miss the real problem, flagging short-term architecture risks, and questioning unnecessary AI adoption early.

900+ platforms delivered over 20 years means we've seen what kills products after launch — and we build specifically to avoid those failure modes from day one.

Architecture designed for scale and not just launch

Every technical decision in v1 either enables or constrains what comes next. We design with your 12-month product roadmap in mind — so scaling is an evolution, not a rewrite

Discovery that tests assumptions before they're coded

Fixed-price Discovery maps your users and the gap between your assumptions and reality before a line of production code is written. The most valuable thing we do is tell you what not to build first.

Regulated tech is a speciality, not a challenge

Health, finance, legal  we've built in regulated environments where security and compliance aren't afterthoughts. ISO 27001 certified. Data architecture reviewed in Discovery, not at QA.

Crews: Film & TV crew sourcing marketplace · Booking management

Crews is a live, production-stage marketplace platform connecting the world's film, television, and commercial production industry.

EB Pearls built the full web platform — marketplace architecture supporting both sides of a two-sided market , booking and job management workflows, and the vetting system that makes Crews a quality network rather than a directory.

Muzikboxx: Music teacher–student connection platform · Lesson booking

Muzikboxx bridges the gap between music teachers and students through a dedicated online platform.

The platform required solving the classic two-sided marketplace challenge: building value for both teachers and students before the network has density , with features that give both sides a reason to engage independently of the match.

The SaaS products
founders actually need built.

SaaS offers many off-the-shelf tools, but custom builds suit regulated, complex workflows, marketplaces, and products needing unique differentiation.

If no-code or SaaS tools can achieve product–market fit, we’ll say so; custom builds suit complex, regulated differentiation needs.

01

SaaS Web Platforms

Full-stack web applications — subscription-based, multi-tenant, role-based access, billing integration, and the administrative infrastructure that makes a SaaS product operable at scale.

02

Two-Sided Marketplaces

Platform architecture connecting supply and demand sides — with the workflow logic, trust mechanics, and network-effect design that makes two-sided markets work rather than stall.

03

Mobile Product Apps

iOS and Android applications — from consumer-facing products to B2B tools — built with the architecture to support the feature velocity that comes after a successful launch.

04

AI-Powered Product Features

AI capabilities integrated as core product infrastructure — not bolted-on demos. Facial recognition, recommendation engines, automated workflows, document processing, and NLP features built to earn their place in the user experience.

05

Regulated Tech Platforms

Health tech, fintech, and legal platforms where data architecture, consent management, audit trails, and compliance frameworks have to be first-order design constraints rather than late-stage additions.

06

Scale & Rebuild

For products already in market that need their architecture rebuilt for growth, their tech debt addressed systematically, or new capabilities added without breaking what's working. We've fixed other people's v1 builds more than once.

The things we believe
that most agencies don't say out loud

After 20 years and 900+ platforms, some things are consistently true about what makes product builds succeed and what makes them fail. We'd rather be honest about these upfront.

A process built for
product founders

SaaS projects have architectural decisions, market assumptions, and competitive timing pressures that need to be resolved before building anything. Our process front-loads the thinking so the build can move fast without constant ambiguity.

01

Discovery

We map your users, your market, your assumptions, your technical requirements, and the gap between what you think you need and what will actually work — before quoting on a build. Fixed price. All outputs yours.

Architecture decisions made here, not mid-build. AI opportunities assessed honestly.
02

Design & Architecture

UX designed for real users — not a demo. System architecture designed for where you're going in 12 months, not just the MVP. Compliance requirements scoped and resolved before the first sprint.

Architecture reviewed before build. Scope stable before a sprint starts.
03

Build & Test

Two-week sprints with full Jira visibility. You see progress every fortnight, not at delivery. QA throughout, not at the end. ISO 27001 data handling. Most clients reach MVP within 3–4 months.

Full IP ownership on delivery. No lock-in. Your code, your product.
04

Launch & Evolve

Launch is the beginning, not the end. Post-launch support, feature iteration, and performance at scale structured from day one. Most of our product clients stay for years — because the relationship is built for it.

SLA-backed support. Architecture that survives growth. Named team throughout.

SaaS & Product Development
for Startups & Scale-ups

EB Pearls builds SaaS platforms, marketplaces, and product software for startups and scale-ups across Australia — from health tech platforms with facial recognition and video consultation infrastructure to production industry marketplaces, EdTech tools, and consumer apps. ISO 27001 certified. 20 years in market. Trusted by Fresh Clinics, Crews, Muzikboxx, and Caroo.

SaaS development requires product thinking, not just engineering execution. The technical decisions made in v1 determine what a product can become. Architecture designed for launch but not growth creates the debt that slows — or stops — every product that gets traction. EB Pearls has delivered 900+ platforms over 20 years, across regulated and unregulated environments, from pre-revenue validation through to market-leading scale.

Questions SaaS foundersalways eventually ask

We'd rather answer these upfront than have them come up three months into a build.

Fixed-price Discovery produces a scope document that both parties sign off on before the build starts. Change requests during the build are documented, priced, and agreed before they're actioned — not discovered in the final invoice. The discipline to say "that's out of scope" or "that would change the estimate" is something we do upfront, not retroactively. Most scope conflicts come from Discovery that was too shallow to catch ambiguity — which is why we take Discovery seriously.

Discovery is fixed-price and accessible regardless of stage — it's designed specifically to help founders make the right build decisions before committing to a full development budget. If the Discovery output shows that a no-code tool or a smaller MVP would serve you better than a full custom build right now, we'll tell you that honestly. We've worked with pre-revenue founders who've gone on to raise significant capital — and we've told some founders to come back when their assumptions are better tested.

Discovery typically takes 3–5 weeks. A well-scoped SaaS MVP typically runs 3–4 months from build start to launch, depending on complexity. Two-sided marketplaces and regulated platforms sit at the higher end. The Discovery output gives you a precise timeline and budget for your specific product — not a range designed to get you started and grow from there.

Full IP ownership on delivery — all code, design assets, documentation, and any trained models. No proprietary dependencies, no lock-in, written into the contract from the start. Your product belongs to you. We sign NDAs before substantive conversations begin as standard practice.

Regulated environments change the architecture decisions from the start — data residency, consent management, audit trails, access controls, and security architecture all need to be scoped in Discovery rather than addressed at QA. Fresh Clinics required healthcare-grade data handling for patient consent, clinical records, and facial biometric data. We've built in health, finance, and government contexts and understand what "compliant" actually means in each. ISO 27001 certified.

30–45 minutes. No pitch deck. We ask about your product, your market, what you're trying to build, and what you've already tried. You ask whatever you want. By the end, you'll know whether we're the right fit for your stage and your build — and if we're not, we'll tell you that too, and point you somewhere better.
