Senior DevOps Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Management or a related field.

• Experience with Agile, Scrum, and other project management methodologies.

• Good understanding of project management tools like JIRA, Trello, or Asana.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured, basic SQL experience for database testing, mobile and web app testing.

• Strong knowledge and practical experience building, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bitbucket Actions, GitLab CI, AWS Code deploy,AWS Code pipeline, Bitbucket pipelines, Mobile application builders or other CI/CD tools

• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker, and managing container orchestration using AWS ECS or Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, or GKE).

• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell scripting for automation and tooling.

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK stack, or New Relic

• Strong grasp of networking, security best practices, IAM, VPC design, and system-level troubleshooting.

• Exposure to access control practices, RBAC implementation, and compliance-related configurations.

• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured, and basic SQL skills for data validation.

• Comfortable mentoring junior engineers, reviewing code/infra, and collaborating with development teams on cross-functional initiatives.

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments.
• Set up monitoring tools and alerting systems for proactive issue detection and response.
• Collaborate with engineering managers, developers, and security teams to align infrastructure with project goals.
• Identify and integrate tools to optimize system efficiency and reduce costs.
• Enforce security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and policies.
• Define and manage role-based access for developers, admins, and other stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a strong DevOps culture within the team.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure and processes to ensure knowledge transfer.
• Follow and enforce infrastructure, security, and operational policies in daily work.
• Actively engage with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and smooth delivery.
• Stay updated with evolving DevOps tools and practices to enhance team capabilities.

• Server Setup & Management: Extensive knowledge in Linux and Windows server configuration, maintenance, and optimization.
• Programming Proficiency: Skilled in programming languages like Python or GoLang, with a preference for proficiency in either of these.
• CI/CD Expertise: Strong experience in configuring and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Proficiency with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, enabling efficient application management and scaling.
• Cloud Services: Expertise in AWS, with a solid understanding of cloud services and how they interact with infrastructure and applications.
• Networking & Infrastructure: A clear understanding of cloud services and computer networks, ensuring the smooth operation and scalability of systems.
• Team Collaboration: Excellent team player and leader, fostering collaboration within DevOps teams and with cross-functional groups.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities to effectively work with diverse teams and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment on technical matters.
• Linux Scripting: Knowledge of Linux scripting for automation and system management tasks.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
