We started EB Pearls because too many great ideas were being killed by bad software.

Twenty-one years later, that's still the only reason we're here.

An Australian AI-native digital product engineering company — mobile apps, web platforms, and AI systems built with the Built to Last™ framework. 1,400+ businesses served. 97% come back.

Most agencies optimise for winning the pitch. We optimise for the client calling us back. Twenty years later, that's still the only metric we care about.

Our Journey

Twenty-one years. One consistent standard.

Each milestone below is a moment we chose to compound rather than pivot.

Our Leadership

Back in 2004, our founder wasn’t trying to build a tech empire — just trying to build a company that did things right. No shortcuts. No sales tricks. Just smart work, done by people who cared.

Today, that vision still fuels everything we do. EB Pearls has grown, but our values haven’t changed. We’re still guided by the same question: "What’s the right thing to do for this client, this time? We’re not here to be the biggest. We’re here to be the best for the people who choose us.”

Six things we've learned in twenty-one years that most agencies still haven't admitted.

01

The build is the easy part. The brief is where projects die.

Most software failures happen before a single line of code is written. Bad requirements, unclear success metrics, and assumptions nobody challenged in the kickoff. We slow down before we speed up — because that's what saves projects.
02

Cheap builds are expensive.

We've rebuilt more than fifty products that clients originally built with cheaper teams. The rewrite always costs more than the original. If you're evaluating agencies on day rate alone, you're optimising for the wrong number.
03

Technology should be boring.

We're not excited by new frameworks for their own sake. We're excited by software that still works at scale three years after launch. That usually means choosing the mature, proven stack — and being very deliberate about when you deviate.
04

You don't need a full product. You need the right first version.

Most founders overbuild because they're afraid to be wrong in public. We've watched brilliant ideas collapse under features nobody asked for. Scope discipline is a form of respect — for your users and your runway.
05

An agency that says yes to everything is a warning sign.

Saying no — to a feature, a timeline, a brief — is the most valuable thing a partner can do. Clients who want validation have advisors for that. Clients who want the truth come to us.
06

The best products are built to last.

Not built to demo. Not built to impress a board. Built to scale, survive a pivot, and onboard a new CTO without a full rewrite. This isn't a slogan — it's the framework behind everything we deliver.

Built to Last™

Six disciplines. Three stages. Every product. Not a premium tier — the standard every EB Pearls engagement is built to.
Pillar 01

The right problem

Discovery Workshop defines exactly what is being built, who it's for, and what success looks like — before a wireframe is drawn.
Pillar 02

The right infrastructure

Production-grade from day one. Load-tested, monitored, and investor-ready before your first media mention.
Pillar 03

The right architecture

Technology chosen for your product and its trajectory — not the stack the developer is most comfortable with.
Pillar 04

The right delivery

Working software every two weeks. Milestone-based payments. No surprises — because scope was locked before development began.
Pillar 05

The right code

Investor-ready — no findings in due diligence. A navigable codebase your next engineer can inherit without archaeology.
Pillar 06

The right team

Named Product Lead from kickoff through post-launch. Context accumulates, not resets. IP assigned at every milestone.

Celebrating 21 Years of Impact

Twenty one years of EB Pearls, brought together in one room - our global team, long-time clients, and the people who took a chance on us in the early years. We reflected on where we started, celebrated those who'd been with us from the beginning, and looked ahead.

More than a milestone, it was a reminder of what the last twenty-one years were actually built on: trust from clients who kept coming back, and a team that never stopped caring about the work.

We're just getting started.

If you're building something that needs to last, let's talk.

We start every engagement with a conversation — not a pitch. No deck, no generic proposal template. Just an honest discussion about what you're building, what's at stake, and whether we're genuinely the right fit. If we're not, we'll tell you that too.
