Do I have to use EB pearls for my Hosting?
Whilst all of our clients benefit significantly from our Hosting, Support & Maintenance plans, if you would like to self-manage your WordPress web hosting & maintenance, you are more than welcome to.
If you choose to self-manage on an external website hosting provider and need us to perform the migration, a fee of $660 incl GST will be levied. Pixel Fish requires 30 days’ notice to perform the migration.
Please note if you are self-managing your website hosting, you will need to purchase your own relevant third party licences, perform your own regular backups and do regular updates to ensure your website continues to work seamlessly.
How do I pay for my Web Hosting Plan?
If you are using Pixel Fish for your Website Hosting, Maintenance and Support, you can pay via monthly invoice or get set up for a monthly deduction that will come out of your chosen bank account or credit card.

Do you provide Shared Web Hosting, Dedicated Server Hosting or VPS Hosting?
No. We have transitioned all of our web hosting away from Shared Web Hosting, VPS and Dedicated Hosting Servers to Cloud Based Hosting, which we find far superior in speed, security and reliability. Shared Hosting (Where multiple sites are hosted on the same server) over the years we found to be getting slower and more troublesome as providers had multiple websites on their shared hosting server. We also found that a Virtual private server solution did not suit our clients needs.
Do I get a Free SSL Certificate?
Yes, all of our sites that are hosted on our web hosting service include a Free Let’s Encrupt SSL certificate.
What do you provide for web hosting security?
Besides a free SSL certificate, all of our sites are protected by a Website Firewall and have nightly backups. Our Professional and Ecommerce hosting clients also get the benefit of DDoS Detection and Hack and Malware Removal. In order to provide the very best web hosting services for our clients, Pixel Fish also works to keep your website, theme and plugins up to date to further prevent being hacked.
Can you support businesses with multiple sites?
Yes. We do provided managed wordpress hosting and support for clients who have multiple sites and various wordpress users.
Do you offer free domain registration and domain hosting?
No, we do not offer clients a free domain name. However we can either assist you purchasing a new domain name or work with you to transfer your domain across to us to manage. Managing of the domains is free, however domain registration and renewal do have costs.
Do you provide Email Hosting?
No, we do not provide email mailbox hosting as part of our website hosting services. We do however provide DNS services to allow our client’s email accounts on their email systems to work such as MS 365 and Google. We can infact help you create a new business email account with MS 365 or Google.
Does your Web Hosting impact your SEO Optimization?
Yes, it absolutely can. The speed and reliability of your wordpress hosting are key factors to consider when optimizing for SEO. Slow loading speeds can cause a decline in website rankings as well as user experience. Additionally, if you have an unreliable server, search engine crawlers may not be able to access and index your content properly.
Do you provide Phone Support for your Web Hosting
Yes we do. Our clients can call or email us whenever they need assistance.
Does my site get backed up?
Yes. All of our clients on experience the benefits of daily backups. Our Essentials websites have their data backed up daily for 7 days, whilst our Professional and E-commerce sites are backed up daily for 30 days.
