Report to:

Senior Engineering Manager

Talent Spotlight:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Management or a related field.

  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, and other project management methodologies.

  • Experience in managing multiple projects, timelines, and budgets.

  • Strong understanding of project management tools like JIRA, Trello, or Asana.

  • Ability to make informed decisions quickly, manage risks, and solve complex technical issues.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


The Impact Zone:

  • Develop and implement QA/BA strategies, methodologies, and processes aligned with business goals.

  • Create and execute comprehensive test plans, including manual and automated testing approaches.

  • Lead the adoption of automated testing tools and frameworks to improve scalability and efficiency.

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.

  • Collaborate with Engineering Managers, BA Lead, and Senior QAs to achieve quality objectives.

  • Manage day-to-day QA/BA operations, including issue tracking, troubleshooting, and timely resolution.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, mentorship, and continuous learning within the QA and BA teams.

  • Optimize resource allocation, workforce planning, and succession planning to meet team needs.

  • Lead Agile practices, including sprint planning and progress tracking, using tools like Jira and EVM.

  • Present quality updates, metrics, and reports to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals.


Expected Strengths and Competencies:

  • Strong Leadership & Team Management:
    Ability to lead, motivate, and guide a team of QA professionals to ensure high-quality deliverables. Proven experience in building and managing a QA team in dynamic environments.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution:
    Expertise in estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities across multiple projects. Ability to define test plans and ensure alignment with business goals and project timelines.
  • Excellent Test Management Skills:
    Strong ability to create detailed, well-structured test cases, manage test execution, and identify key quality metrics (KPIs). Proficient in developing repeatable test automation processes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    Ability to work effectively with Product Owners, developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, provide feedback, and ensure alignment on project objectives. Facilitating clear and open communication within the team.
  • Technical Proficiency in Testing Tools & Techniques:
    Expertise in automated testing, regression testing, bug tracking, and identifying and implementing best practices for system testing. Experience with various testing tools and platforms.
  • Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:
    Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify the root cause of issues and resolve testing impediments swiftly. Ability to troubleshoot bugs effectively and conduct thorough regression testing.
  • Attention to Detail:
    A keen eye for spotting potential issues in requirements, designs, and test cases. Ensuring thorough test coverage, and identifying gaps that could impact product quality.
  • Proactive & Results-Oriented:
    A proactive approach to removing blockers and making continuous improvements. Strong sense of ownership and accountability in delivering results on time and within budget.
  • Quality Metrics & Continuous Improvement:
    Experience in defining and tracking KPIs for project quality, reviewing project progress, and recommending improvements based on feedback to ensure higher client satisfaction and improved product outcomes.
  • Excellent Communication Skills:
    Ability to effectively communicate testing progress, issues, and solutions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Comfortable with reporting to top-level management and presenting detailed test results.
  • Client-Centric Approach:
    A strong understanding of client needs, with a focus on delivering solutions that exceed expectations. Ability to conduct product demos and review feedback to align product delivery with client goals.
