JasonL needed their current shop, which was using a Magento solution, to be hosted with Shopify. The store itself required a huge degree of customization, which presented quite a challenge since Shopify has limitations in terms of its customization capacity.
We worked closely with the client to understand the requirements, ensuring that all variables had been covered properly. This, along with the thorough research and exploration of the Shopify platform, allowed us to deliver a great product.
We also developed a well-prioritized agile backlog to make release and iteration planning easy, this communicated all the things that the team plans to spend time on. Once the backlog was created, it was regularly maintained to keep pace with the project.
During this process, the feedback from the clients was collected. This resulted in adjusting, adding, design and workflow sketches, and so on. This also allowed us to understand what tasks to prioritise, and also to track the project progress.
The design sprint of this project assured that all the team members was on the same page which resulted in a successful collaboration of the team. Furthermore, performance, plan, and progress were shared with the client by the prototyping and testing of solutions.
To get feedback and improve further, internal testing was done. After the testing, the most important thing we kept on our mind was easy navigation to reach the desired screens, as well as the uniformity in the screens.
Once the product owner described the objectives of back log and sprint, our scrum team performed all the steps in the sprint. Additionally, the development team planned the essential tasks to meet the sprint goal.
- Improvement of Current Product Management: EB Pearls was able to develop a solution that enhanced JasonL’s current product import process. For the most part, this is now automated, so they have more time to focus on more growth stimulating parts of their business.
- Multi-level categorisation: Shopify presented EB Pearls the technical challenge of applying more advanced categorisations. However, we were able to overcome this by exploring the capabilities of Shopify and customising to achieve the desired results.
The delivered website is one that is polished and met expectations perfectly. JasonL and EB Pearls continue to work together on a retainer basis to improve the site.
This project was technically difficult due to the move from Magento to Shopify. However, we worked closely with the client to understand the requirements, ensuring that the variables have been covered properly. This, along with the thorough research and exploration of the Shopify platform, allowed us to deliver a great product.
After the website is developed, we regularly communicate with the clients and we are always available for future maintenance and are committed to ongoing support. Moreover, we are monitoring the features that have been released.
